🌾 Zenkids Montessori Pongal Celebration 2026 | Celebrating Gratitude, Tradition & Togetherness 🌾 At Zenkids Montessori, Pongal was not just a celebration β€” it was an experience of gratitude, culture, and community. We warmly welcomed our parents and children and were honored to have a farmer as our Chief Guest, reminding us of the true spirit of Pongal β€” thanking nature and the hands that feed us. The celebration began with lighting the diya, symbolizing positivity and new beginnings. Our little ones proudly carried the Pongal pot to the aduppu, and together they participated in lighting the traditional stove. Watching the children actively involved in preparing Pongal was truly heartwarming. We made Pongal together, celebrating the joy of cooking and gratitude for harvest. 🌼 Fun & Cultural Activities Included: Games for parents to find dΓ©cor items and Pongal ingredients Cup balancing challenge Pot painting activity for children Traditional Uri Adi for both parents and children One of the most touching moments was when the children served Pongal to their parents on vazhai ilai (banana leaf) β€” a beautiful act of grace, courtesy, and respect. As a token of gratitude, we gifted plants to parents β€” symbolizing growth and sustainability β€” and presented mementos to our dedicated staff members. The celebration concluded with hearts full of joy, unity, and thankfulness. At Zenkids, we believe festivals are not just events β€” they are opportunities for children to live culture, practice independence, and build meaningful connections.
