Field Trips
On 01 Jul 2025
At Zenkids, we believe children learn best through real-life experiences. As part of our theme “Living and Non-Living Things”, our tiny tots went on a series of short field trips to observe and understand the world around them.
Visit to the Cow Shed
Children experienced the joy of being close to animals. They observed cows, learned how they are cared for, and understood that animals are living things that need food, water, and love.
Visit to the Supermarket
In contrast, our little explorers walked through the supermarket to see shelves full of items, products, and packaged goods. Here, they identified non-living things and understood their importance in daily life.
Visit to the Railway Station
The hustle and bustle of the railway station gave children a chance to see trains, platforms, and signals. They recognized that while people (living) use the station, the buildings, trains, and tracks are non-living things that support human life.
Visit to the Circus Ground
In the morning, children visited the circus ground where they saw camels and horses. This helped them observe these animals closely as examples of living things. They also noticed the tents, fences, and equipment around, which are non-living things. This real-life observation strengthened their understanding of the differences.
Through these visits, our children didn’t just learn the concept of living and non-living things from books – they experienced it first-hand. The excitement, questions, and discoveries they made during these trips made the learning unforgettable.
