LKG - Fun Fridays at ZenKids
At ZenKids, we believe in balancing structured learning with opportunities for exploration and creativity. While our regular timetable is followed from Monday to Thursday, Fridays are set aside for something special – Fun Fridays!
What is Fun Friday?
Fun Friday is a unique and exciting part of our preschool program dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning. On Fun Fridays, children have the opportunity to step away from their usual routine and dive into a variety of engaging activities that stimulate their interests and broaden their horizons.
Activities on Fun Friday
- Interest-Based Activities:
- Children can explore activities of their choice, such as arts and crafts, music, dance, or science experiments.
- These activities are designed to cater to different interests and help children discover and develop their passions.
- Theme Creations:
- Some Fridays will be dedicated to themed activities where the entire day revolves around a particular theme. Themes could range from space exploration and nature adventures to cultural celebrations and community helpers.
- Children participate in various themed activities, including storytelling, role-playing, and creative projects, making learning fun and immersive.
- Field Trips:
- Periodically, Fun Fridays will include field trips to local attractions such as farms, museums, parks, or other educational sites.
- These trips provide children with real-world experiences, enhance their understanding of the world, and offer a break from the classroom setting.

For our LKG students, we have planned exciting field trips to planetariums and factories. These outings are designed to deepen their understanding of physical geography, including landforms, weather patterns, and celestial bodies, as well as the journey of raw materials from plants, animals, and minerals to finished products.
Experiential Learning Through Exploration
- Visits to Planetariums: Our trips to planetariums offer children a fascinating glimpse into the wonders of the universe. These visits are designed to teach students about celestial bodies, including stars, planets, moons, and galaxies. Through engaging presentations and interactive exhibits, children learn about the solar system, constellations, and the various phenomena that occur in outer space. These experiences ignite curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of our place in the universe.
- Exploration of Factories: Factory tours provide children with an insightful look at how raw materials are transformed into finished products. These visits cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Raw Materials from Plants, Animals, and Minerals: Children learn about the origins of various raw materials and their importance in everyday life. They see how natural resources are harvested and prepared for manufacturing.
- Benefits and Finished Products: Students observe the entire production process, from raw material to finished product. They learn about the various stages of manufacturing and the benefits of different products. These visits help children appreciate the complexity and ingenuity involved in creating the goods we use daily.
